Founded in 2006, Teofilo Kisanji University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Mbeya (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities, Teofilo Kisanji University (TEKU) is a small coeducational Tanzanian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Protestant religion. Teofilo Kisanji University (TEKU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation) in several areas of study. This 16 years old Tanzanian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades.
