Founded in 1940, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Ternopil (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ternopil Oblast. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University (TNPU) is a medium-sized coeducational Ukrainian higher education institution.
