Founded in 1996, Thamar University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Dhamar (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Yemen, Thamar University (TU) is a coeducational Yemeni higher education institution. Thamar University (TU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. TU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
