Founded in 1995, Thanlyin Technological University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Thanlyin (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Yangon. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education (Science and Technology) of Myanmar, Thanlyin Technological University (TTU) is a coeducational Burmese higher education institution. Thanlyin Technological University (TTU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. TTU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
