Founded in 2014, The American University of Kurdistan is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Duhok (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Kurdistan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) is a coeducational Iraqi higher education institution. The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. AUK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
