Established in 1982, Trakya Üniversitesi (Trakya University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Edirne (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Trakya Üniversitesi is a very large coeducational Turkish higher education institution.
