Founded in 1958, Tribhuvan University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Kathmandu (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Bagmati Pradesh. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Nepal, Tribhuvan University (TU) is a very large coeducational Nepalese higher education institution. Tribhuvan University (TU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 64 years old Nepalese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations.
