Founded in 1950, Turkmen State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Ashgabat (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Türkmenistanyn Bilim Ministrligi (Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan), Turkmen State University (TSU) is a small coeducational Turkmen higher education institution. Turkmen State University (TSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
