Founded in 1987, Ubon Ratchathani University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Ubon Ratchathani (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) is a coeducational Thai higher education institution. Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 35 years old Thai higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. UBU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
