Founded in 1961, Universidad Adventista de las Antillas (Antillean Adventist University) is a non-profit private multidisciplinary higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the small city of Mayagüez (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in San Juan.
