Established in 1995, Universidad Autonoma de Chiriqui (Autonomous University of Chiriqui) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of David (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Chiriqui. Officially recognized by the Consejo Nacional de Evaluacion y Acreditacion Universitaria de Panama (National Council of University Assessment and Accreditation of Panama), Universidad Autonoma de Chiriqui (UNACHI) is a coeducational Panamanian higher education institution. Universidad Autonoma de Chiriqui (UNACHI) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNACHI also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
