Founded in 1959, Universidad Católica de Cuyo (Catholic University of Cuyo) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Rivadavia (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), San Juan. This institution also has a branch campus in San Luis and Mendoza. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación, Cultura, Ciencia y Tecnología, Argentina (Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Argentina), Universidad Católica de Cuyo (UCCuyo) is a medium-sized coeducational Argentine higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion.
