Established in 1990, Universidad Central de Chile (Central University of Chile) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Santiago (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Region Metropolitana de Santiago. This institution also has a branch campus in La Serena and Antofagasta. Officially recognized by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación, Chile (National Accreditation Commission), Universidad Central de Chile (UCEN) is a large coeducational Chilean higher education institution. Universidad Central de Chile (UCEN) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. UCEN also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, as well as administrative services.
