Founded in 1952, Universidad Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas (Marta Abreu University of Las Villas) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Santa Clara (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Villa Clara. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Cuba (Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba), Universidad Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas (UCLV) is a large coeducational Cuban higher education institution.
