Founded in 1978, Universidad de Ciego de Ávila Máximo Gómez Báez (Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Avila) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Morón (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ciego de Avila.
