Established in 1968, Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Pinar del Río (Medical University of Pinar del Río) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Pinar del Río (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Pinar del Rio. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Salud Pública, Cuba (Ministry of Public Health of Cuba), Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Pinar del Río (UCMPR) is a small coeducational Cuban higher education institution. Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Pinar del Río (UCMPR) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UCMPR also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
