Founded in 1995, Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas (University of Arts and Science of Chiapas) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Chiapas. Officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública, Mexico (Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico), Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas (UNICACH) is a coeducational Mexican higher education institution.
