Founded in 1976, Universidad de Granma (University of Granma) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Bayamo (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Granma. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Cuba (Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba), Universidad de Granma (UDG) is a medium-sized coeducational Cuban higher education institution. Universidad de Granma (UDG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UDG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
