Founded in 2002, Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (University of Information Sciences) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Havana (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), La Habana. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Cuba (Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba), Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI) is a small coeducational Cuban higher education institution. Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UCI also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
