Founded in 1976, Universidad de Las Tunas (Las Tunas University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Las Tunas (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Cuba (Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba), Universidad de Las Tunas (ULT) is a medium-sized coeducational Cuban higher education institution. Universidad de Las Tunas (ULT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. ULT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
