Established in 2004, Universidad de Los Hemisferios (University of the Hemispheres) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Quito (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Pichincha. Officially recognized by the Consejo de Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior del Ecuador (Council for Quality Assurance of Higher Education of Ecuador), Universidad de Los Hemisferios (UDLH) is a very small coeducational Ecuadorian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Universidad de Los Hemisferios (UDLH) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 18 years old Ecuadorian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. UDLH also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
