Founded in 1974, Universidad de los Llanos (University of the Plains) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Villavicencio (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Meta. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, Colombia (Ministry of National Education of Colombia), Universidad de los Llanos is a small coeducational Colombian higher education institution.
