Founded in 1982, Universidad de Sonsonate (University of Sonsonate) is a private higher-education institution located in the small city of Sonsonate (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación, República de El Salvador (Ministry of Education of El Salvador), Universidad de Sonsonate (USO) is a coeducational Salvadoran higher education institution. Universidad de Sonsonate (USO) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
