Founded in 1981, Universidad de Tarapacá (University of Tarapacá) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Arica (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tarapaca. Officially recognized by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación, Chile (National Accreditation Commission), Universidad de Tarapacá (UTA) is a medium-sized coeducational Chilean higher education institution.
