Founded in 1997, Universidad Miguel de Cervantes (Miguel de Cervantes University) is a private higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Santiago (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Region Metropolitana de Santiago. Officially recognized by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación, Chile (National Accreditation Commission), Universidad Miguel de Cervantes (UMC) is a small coeducational Chilean higher education institution. Universidad Miguel de Cervantes (UMC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UMC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
