Founded in 2010, Universidad Nacional de Canindeyú (Canindeyú National University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Salto del Guairá (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Canindeyu. Officially recognized by the Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior, Paraguay (National Council of Higher Education of Paraguay), Universidad Nacional de Canindeyú (UNICAN) is a coeducational Paraguayan higher education institution.
