Founded in 1982, Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guayana (National Experimental University of Guayana, Puerto Ordaz) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Ciudad Guayana (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Bolivar. Officially recognized by the Ministerio del Poder Popular para Educación Universitaria, Ciencia y Tecnología, Venezuela (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of Venezuela), Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guayana (UNEG) is a very small coeducational Venezuelan higher education institution. Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guayana (UNEG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study.
