Established in 1998, Universidad Popular de la Chontalpa (Popular University of Chontalpa) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Cárdenas (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tabasco. Officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública, Mexico (Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico), Universidad Popular de la Chontalpa (UPCH) is a small coeducational Mexican higher education institution. Universidad Popular de la Chontalpa (UPCH) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UPCH also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
