Established in 1992, Universidad SEK (International University SEK) is a private higher-education institution located in the small city of Peñalolén (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Region Metropolitana de Santiago. Officially recognized by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación, Chile (National Accreditation Commission), Universidad SEK (UISEK) is a medium-sized coeducational Chilean higher education institution. Universidad SEK (UISEK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UISEK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
