Established in 1995, Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (Technical University of Cotopaxi, Latacunga) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Latacunga (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Cotopaxi. Officially recognized by the Consejo de Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior del Ecuador (Council for Quality Assurance of Higher Education of Ecuador), Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC) is a coeducational Ecuadorian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UTC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
