Founded in 1984, Universidad Tecnológica del Sur (Technological University of South) is a higher-education institution located in the small city of Azua de Compostela (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Azua. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, República Dominicana (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic), Universidad Tecnológica del Sur (UTESUR) is a small coeducational Dominican higher education institution.
