Founded in 1957, Université Catholique du Congo (Catholic University of Congo) is a private higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Kinshasa (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire, République Démocratique du Congo (Ministry of Higher and University Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Université Catholique du Congo (UCC) is a coeducational Congolese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Université Catholique du Congo (UCC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UCC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
