Founded in 1987, Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie (University of New Caledonia) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Noumea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation, France (Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of France), Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie (UNC) is a small coeducational New Caledonian higher education institution. Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie (UNC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 35 years old New Caledonian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UNC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
