Established in 2000, Université Libano-Canadienne (Lebanese Canadian University) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium town of Aintoura (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants), Mount Lebanon. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Liban (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon), Université Libano-Canadienne (LCU) is a very small coeducational Lebanese higher education institution. Université Libano-Canadienne (LCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 22 years old Lebanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 60-70% making this Lebanese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. LCU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
