Université Officielle de Ruwenzori (Official University of Ruwenzori) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Butembo (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North Kivu. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire, République Démocratique du Congo (Ministry of Higher and University Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Université Officielle de Ruwenzori (UOR) is a coeducational Congolese higher education institution. Université Officielle de Ruwenzori (UOR) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UOR also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
