Founded in 1985, Universitas Asahan (Asahan University) is a private higher-education institution located in the large city of Asahan (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), North Sumatra. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Asahan is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Asahan offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Universitas Asahan also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
