Founded in 1962, Universitas Cenderawasih (Cenderawasih University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Jayapura (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Papua. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Cenderawasih (UNCEN) is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
