Founded in 1983, Universitas Islam Batik (Batik Islamic University) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Surakarta (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Islam Batik (UNIBA) is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Islam Batik (UNIBA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNIBA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
