Established in 2008, Universitas Islam Indragiri (Islamic University of Indragiri) is a private higher-education institution located in the large city of Indragiri Hilir (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Riau. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Islam Indragiri is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Islam Indragiri offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
