Established in 2002, Universitas Islam Madura Pamekasan (Islamic University of Madura Pamekasan) is a private higher-education institution located in the large city of Pamekasan (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Islam Madura Pamekasan is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion.
