Founded in 1966, Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol (Imam Bonjol State Islamic University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Padang (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), West Sumatra. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol (UINIB) is a coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol (UINIB) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
