Established in 1957, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Tangerang Selatan (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Banten. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (UINJKT) is a medium-sized coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (UINJKT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 65 years old Indonesian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
