Founded in 1966, Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf (Syekh-Yusuf Islamic University) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Tangerang (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Banten. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf (UNIS) is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf (UNIS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNIS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
