Founded in 1963, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Jenderal Soedirman University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the large town of Banyumas (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Central Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
