Established in 1986, Universitas Karo (Karo University) is a private higher-education institution located in the medium city of Karo (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North Sumatra. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Karo (UK) is a coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Karo (UK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
