Established in 1982, Universitas Kartini (Kartini University) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Surabaya (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Kartini is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Kartini offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
