Established in 2005, Universitas Kristen Papua (Christian University of Papua) is a private higher-education institution located in the medium city of Sorong (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), West Papua. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Kristen Papua (UKP) is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Kristen Papua (UKP) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UKP also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
