Established in 1958, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (Lambung Mangkurat University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Banjarmasin (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), South Kalimantan. This institution also has a branch campus in Banjarbaru. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) is a very large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 63 years old Indonesian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
