Established in 1978, Universitas Madura (Madura University) is a private higher-education institution located in the large city of Pamekasan (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Madura is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Madura offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Universitas Madura also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
