Established in 1979, Universitas Merdeka Madiun (Free University of Madiun) is a private higher-education institution located in the medium city of Madiun (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Merdeka Madiun is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
